For homework, please:
- Plan a 5-minute pitch that you will present to your neighbor. Your pitch should conform to the following outline:
I. Presentation of the problem
II. Negative consequences of the problem
III. Solution
IV. Positive consequences of the solution
V. Concrete application/implementation of the solution
-Start thinking of what area you're interested in doing your prepared debate in for the exam. Bring a debate question to class from this domain (hint: the opinion pages of major newspapers are great places to find current and relevant debate questions). Avoid any questions that will make your partner uncomfortable.
-Go shopping for a podcast or YouTube channel that will hopefully become a regular part of your "English diet". Ideally, at least one of the speakers speaks a variety of English you'd like to emulate.
