For homework, please:
-have a look at the "Silicon Valley" infographic (available in color here: https://www.economist.com/graphic-detail/2017/09/13/silicon-valley-bosses-are-globalists-not-libertarians ) and 1) come up with ways to describe comparisons in graphs (e.g. language like "marginal/negligible difference) and 2) look up all of the language you don't know
-watch a business video on the CNBC (US English) or the Economist (British English) YouTube channel and write down language used to describe data, trends and development
-read an opinion article from an anglophone newspaper (The New York Times, The Globe and Mail, and The Guardian are free sources) in an area you might want to pursue for the prepared debate and jot down good language used in it (pay particular attention to collocations and fixed expressions)
-identify whether the "s" in the following words is voiced or voiceless:
use (n.), use (v.), please, result, false, house (n.), house (v.), cause, Miss, Ms, close (adj.), close (v.), this, these, thesis, theses, lose, loose
