***If you are not in the Monday/Wednesday group, then this post is not for you!!***
1. Make sure that you bring the textbook with you to class. Please review pages 6-7 on "present time" and complete exercises A, C, and D. Check your answers using the key in the back and bring any questions you have with you to class. (Please make sure you actively note down questions concerning alternative answers, instances in which you don't understand why the correct answer is in fact grammatical, etc.)
2. Complete the backside of the "participle clauses" handout distributed towards the end of class.
3. Watch the following video on the US chain store Target and write down five milestones in the company's history: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8JbzLWSRog
4. In your journal, write 10 sentences using 10 collocations you have found using freecollocation.com (You will need to make sure the context is appropriate using the strategies we practiced in Monday's class!)
5. Remember this link for word formation exercises? Do two more word formation quizzes from the page: http://www.esl-lounge.com/student/advanced-word-formation.php
6. Write a 250-word essay on one of the following questions:
Does addiction to technology pose a real threat to society?
Do you subscribe to Netflix? Why or why not? (Please no one-sentence answers to this. I want to know why you were motivated to join or why you haven't.)
7. Please make sure to bring ALL handouts from our previous three days of class to Wednesday's session as well as your journal! (Remember, it's journal collection day on the 17th!)
