For homework, please:
- read (aloud!) the handout on "trends, graphs, and figures" and draw 10 graphs/figures in your notes that represent 10 pieces of vocabulary (e.g. sudden jump, bottom out, show an upward trend, etc.)
- read (aloud!) the article "why open-plan offices get a bad rap" and a) look up all of the words you don't know, b) highlight all of the good vocab for describing data and c) write three sentences about the data (possibly using vocab from the "trends, graphs, and figures" handout) .
- read (aloud!) the article on dress codes and work and a) identify three different arguments and b) develop three counterarguments to these.
