- read the article "Out with the old, in with the young" distributed in class and do the following:
a) read the article out loud
b) identify all of the language in the article that would be useful when describing graphs and trends
c) look up all of the words you don't know
d) pick 20 words to commit to your active vocabulary (they shouldn't all come from the set from task b))
e) identify the claims and ideas in the article that you agree with and those that you don't
