Kompetenzerweiterung I, Tuesday/Thursday Group, Homework for October 15th

For homework, please:

- read the other three responses to "What's the best sense?" and look up all of the words you don't know and read all four articles out loud for pronunciation practice. Also consider how you would personally respond to the question.

- complete the rest of the exercises for Unit 1 (either in your book or from the photocopies from class).

- read and learn the vocabulary from Unit 2 (pp. 12-13 in the book or from the photocopies from class) in the following sections: "topic vocabulary: thinking", "topic vocabulary: learning", "word formation". Make sure you know how to use the words in sentences.

- complete the exercise sheet on participle clauses.
