For homework, please:
- read the articles "millennials and employment" and "track and minefield" in the "articles for reading comprehension" folder on Ilias and complete the accompanying comprehension questions. Bring your answers with you to class.
- review the content, class notes, and blog posts for the last six weeks of the semester (paying particular attention to the vocabulary introduced). Bring any questions you might have to next week's session.
- optional essay prompts: in the "articles for reading comprehension" folder, you'll find an article entitled "Why Stanford should clone itself" and a two-file article entitled "UK better off outside the EU". Please read these articles and select one of the following prompts (make sure that your essays are stand-alone pieces of writing and don't rely on prior knowledge of the source articles):
1. Should Stanford clone itself? (Pay particular attention to the claims Kirp makes in the final paragraphs about brand stretching/dilution.)
2. Is the UK better off outside the EU?
Essay must not exceed 350 words and must be submitted to my email address as a .docx file by Monday, June 28th by 5 pm in order to receive feedback.
