Writing Skills I, Homework for Week 12

The topics for the exam are the following:

Your final exam assignment will be to write an ARGUMENTATIVE essay (and NOT a pro-/ con-essay) of between 450 and 500 words:   

Prepare / research / explore the following three topics, one of which will be chosen for the exam:

1.    Introduction of home schooling in Germany

2.    Teleworking in Germany

3.    Sexism in advertising

Good newspapers/periodicals for researching these topics include: The Guardian, The New York Times, The Independent, The Globe and Mail, The Atlantic, The New Yorker, The Economist, Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, The Week UK, Time, Newsweek, US News and World Report, Slate Online, Foreign Policy, Harpers, Mother Jones, Forbes.

The quality of your arguments and language is in many cases dependent on the quality of the articles you read in preparation of the exam.
