Homework for Week 11, Language Skills II, Thurs 14-16, Thurs 16-18, Fri 10-12

1. Have a look at the "Homework for Week 10" post if you haven't already done so. There are important review exercises for the exam on it.

2. Please read the article in the reader for Week 11, paying particular attention to vocab.

3. Complete the IPA proverbs exercise that we began in class. Look up three other proverbs to bring to class (there will be an award for weirdest proverb :) ).

4. To my Do 14-16 group: complete the preposition exercise distributed by the group today.

5. Pick 20 verbs and determine whether they take the gerund or the infinitive. With those verbs, make advanced sentences that describe your holiday traditions or your resolutions for 2016. (For example, "Christmas for Sally always entails driving for 5 hours to her inlaws and enduring a verbal thrashing for her sub-par culinary talents.")
